Bringing a competitive Super Twin Racing Team to the starting line of a race is an extremely expensive undertaking. Never mind that the fuel costs alone for a weekend of racing adds up to the price of a half decent used family sedan. The prize money (if any) doesn't even come close to cover travel expenses etcetera. In short you have to be a real fanatic to become involved in the sport.
